CORE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE:

 

Editing International Adaptation Projects:

Working closely with Editor and Producer teams you will receive editing requests from producers (with bookings managed by the Traffic Manager). Taking client’s visual, audio and graphic content, to create broadcast quality video edits.

You must be able to handle and manage briefs independently as well as working collaboratively with Editor Team on more complex jobs.

Advise producers on time and work required on briefs appropriately.

 

Editing TVCs and High Quality Content:

You must be able to work with Creatives, Directors and Producers to generate appealing and original content. Taking direction as well being able to come up with your own creative solutions when taking a brief. You must possess good aesthetic and artistic notions combined with a good eye for detail for selecting and cutting material from rushes in order to achieve the best results.

 

Editing High Quality Mood Films:

You must be able to create visually captivating mood films that reflect engaging storytelling for top tier pitches. You must be comfortable and have good skills in sourcing the best and most appropriate footage as well as being able to brief researchers to source it for you.

Innovation coupled with a self-starter mentality and a desire for personal professional growth are highly desirable attributes across our business and essential for this role.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

We expect you to perform to high standards the basics of a Mid-Level Editor whilst maintaining the following to a very high standard:

  • Editing original content including commercials, brand videos, product demos, corporate videos & Moving Image content (generally)
  • Edit re-versioning – Including shot replacement, re-tagging, cut-downs
  • Compositing – including product replacements and keying
  • Motion Graphics including original content and re-versioning
  • Experience creating work for different distribution including broadcast, cinema, digital and social media
  • Quote time on jobs successfully
  • 3 year’s experience in this position within the industry

 

In addition, we expect you to deliver and maintain high standards in the following areas:

  • Team working
  • Problem solving and the ability to express and articulate complex information in a straight forward way
  • Good understanding of post-production / international versioning / adaptation processes
  • Experience working in post-production environment alongside Producers and remotely with off-shore centres
  • Technically confident with advanced/complex TV & digital moving image formats, codecs, audio files etc.
  • Excellent skills on post-production applications used by the company, i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, along with related plug-ins (e.g. Mocha AE, Red Giant, Optical Flares, ELement3D…). In addition, you should have mid-to-high Adobe Photoshop and basic-to-mid Illustrator skills.
  • You should have a good understanding of 3D CGI concepts. Knowledge and experience of 3D software and/or compositing packages is a plus (e.g. Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema4D, Nuke, Fusion…)
  • Colouring skills and DaVinci Resolve skills and experience are a plus
  • Sound Design and music track sourcing skills are a plus
  • Animation Principles knowledge and Animation skills are a plus

ABOUT THE TEAM:

 

The technology team is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. The team is responsible for resolving any technology-related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to system diagnostics and enhancing and developing the IT provision within the business.

The EMEA team works very closely with all colleagues across the entire CreativeDrive group, including the technology teams based in the United States.

 

FEATURES OF THIS ROLE:

 

The IT Support Specialist will provide 1st to 3rd line support & systems administration, primarily for the EMEA region but also supporting the wider global CreativeDrive group.

The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the network, servers, printers, desktop and. Mobile operating systems, setting up user profiles plus general maintenance of all technology and AV related hardware, software and services.

The position provides exposure to a broad range of technology-related projects and activities.

 

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Operate and regularly update the service desk ticket system
  • Provide initiation to IT systems and training where required
  • Provide Desktop Installation, support and troubleshooting where required
  • Support and maintain network, servers, printers and desktop equipment, software and services
  • Monitor and maintain backups and logs, ensuring tapes loaded at appropriate times, backup software operating correctly
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers
  • Support a variety of cloud hosted systems
  • Support A/V and video conference equipment in meeting rooms
  • Ensure the company’s IT policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintaining stock of essential items, such as print toners, spare keyboards, mice, etc.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to the IT Manager
  • Arrange building access
  • Update and provide user documentation
  • Monthly checks for leavers
  • Assist with any ad-hoc IT support requirements
  • Managing the new starter process:
    • Order (if necessary) and set up desktop hardware.

EXPERIENCE & UNDERSTANDING:

 

This role requires a person with experience of a wide range of systems and technologies. A highly adaptable person that can act on initiative yet knows when to ask for guidance or assistance.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ face-to-face IT Support experience, in creative environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years direct daily support and maintenance of large multi-site environment.
  • Creative/media sector experience – ideally post-production, photography, or broadcast.

FEATURES OF THIS ROLE:

We seek strategic leadership to grow what we believe has the potential to be the biggest single account in our business. This is a production centric account that already sees us delivering across all media and into many corners of a large global business. To realise its potential we seek an ambitious, experienced individual with a very high aptitude and understanding of how international multi-brand organisations work. The stakeholders are varied internationally & culturally, in their needs and in their personality types, which will require a high degree of emotional intelligence and a dogged pursuit to get things done.

You will work alongside an experienced Integrated Production Lead who has years of experience in delivering production services to such businesses and with whom you will need to form a strong partnership.

You will need to be able to work quickly and independently, often from within the client organisation to ensure that you have a deep understanding of the requirements and complexities at play and so that you can mine the opportunities that may otherwise not present themselves.

You will lead the account for EMEA, facing off to the Global Account Lead in the USA (New York) and will need to form a strong working relationship with them.

You will own and manage all key client relationships in EMEA (HQ Watford, Nr London)  and be involved heavily with the corporate teams based in the USA – predominantly Dallas, Texas and McLean, Virginia. This may require you to travel frequently into Europe and the USA.

You will oversee the commercial and financial elements of this account, running a separate P&L, opportunities pipeline and associated revenue & margin forecasting. You will be accountable for the profitability of this business and work closely with the Integrated Production Lead to ensure resourcing is effectively managed (balance of bandwidth, skills and utilisation).

You will report on the account to the Global Client Service Lead in the USA (Creative Drive) and in the UK to the CEO of CreativeDrive EMEA.

Success in the role will be measured both in hard metrics such as growth and optimisation of revenue, profitability and client satisfaction, but also soft metrics such as internal staff satisfaction, contribution to the wider company as a senior team member in CreativeDrive EMEA and support of peers and staff working under you.

 

ACCOUNT LEADERSHIP – SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

We expect this account to grow quickly and so require leaderships skills in the following areas.

Strategising, managing, reviewing, reporting on and developing:

  • Knowledge of delivery systems: i.e. Adstream, Beam, IMD, Dub-Sat etc.
  • Adaptation experience: awareness of global broadcast specs, local regulators, working in other languages including voice records.
